The congress
TACSSYD — The Annual Congress of Surgery for Students and Young Doctors — is the flagship annual event of Societatea Studențească de Chirurgie din România — Filiala Craiova. Edition 9 takes place across six days at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Craiova in Craiova, bringing together students, residents and senior clinicians across 22+ surgical specialties.

The Romanian Student Society of Surgery (SSCR)
Founded in 2004 with six founding members, SSCR has grown to ten branches across major Romanian medical universities. Our mission is to give the community the tools needed to deliver society elite-level practitioners.
The Craiova branch hosts TACSSYD every autumn, with a strong tradition of hands-on training, scientific presentations and close ties with the faculty and clinical staff of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Craiova.
